Day #1: Power up on a royal buffet breakfast @ Ma Belle, then kick off on a scenic hike through the dramatic landscape all around followed by a visit to the ostrich farm to watch the chicks hatch (when in season). That night, gaze up in wonder at a diamond-strewn Karoo sky with a knowledgable astronomer. Even without a telescope, the majesty of what you will behold will leave you spellbound.
Day #2: Grab a light breakfast and it’s off to the mountains we go! Hello Swartberg Pass and Cango caves. The Swartberg Mountain Range is almost always snow-capped, which makes for some awesome photo opportunities. The range stretches like the arms of a kind old grey-haired grandfather about to give you a hug. And of course, the Cango Caves are world famous for their labyrinth of tunnels and chambers, and their magnificent stalactites and stalagmites formations.
Once back at De Denne, cool off with a choice of two pristine pools, or soak in the old-world charm of the architecture and phenomenal surrounding farmland.
